Ram

The ram charges headfirst, which makes it the creature of Aries and the first spring. Agrippa and the Golden Dawn both place it with Aries, and it was sacred to Amun and Ares. It stands for initiative, raw drive, and new beginnings.

Uses

• Starting new projects
• Courage and assertiveness
• Breaking through obstacles
• Spring and renewal rites

Working with it

Call on the ram on a Tuesday or at the spring equinox. Light a red candle, state plainly what you are starting, and visualize charging through the first barrier. Ask the ram to keep you moving when doubt sets in.
