Scorpion

The scorpion is the creature of Scorpio: guarded, patient, and deadly when provoked. Agrippa and the Golden Dawn both place it with the sign. It stands for defense, secrets, and the transformation that comes through facing what can wound.

Uses

• Protection and counter-magic
• Keeping secrets
• Transformation through crisis
• Banishing

Working with it

Work with the scorpion on a Tuesday for protection. Draw or place a scorpion image beneath a black candle near the entrance of the home, tail toward the door, and ask it to turn back anything sent against you. Burn the drawing after the candle finishes.
