Archon
Sabaoth
Archon1 tradition
Sabaoth, from the Hebrew for hosts, is the third archon, ruling Mars. In some texts he repents, turns to Sophia, and is raised above his brothers. In Gnostic thought the archons are jailers of the soul; the seeker learns their names in order to pass beyond them.
