Black Salt

Black salt, or witches' salt, is salt blended with ash from a ritual fire, charcoal, or scraped cast iron. It is the salt of banishing and hard protection. It is not the same as kala namak, the Indian cooking salt.

Working with it
Mix sea salt with ash from a candle or fire you've worked with, and sprinkle it around the outside of the house or in the footsteps of someone who must leave.
